One team
From the first call to the final resting place, the same people stay with you every step of the way
1
The first call.
Our phones are answered at every hour, and we typically arrive in 60 to 90 minutes, unless you prefer to have more time before we do.
2
The planning meeting.
The people who bring your loved one into our care sit down with you. We give every family an itinerary and an easy to follow to-do list covering flower deadlines, arrival times and the limousine schedule.
3
The service and committal.

Why families choose Vincent Funeral Home
The same people from start to finish
The people who come after your first call plan the service with you and help every step of the way.
The valley's only crematory
We own the only crematory in the Farmington Valley, in our Canton building, and our own certified staff perform every cremation.
Respect for your traditions
We will work with your family's own priest, pandit or officiant, and plan around what your tradition calls for.
Family owned since 1902
Charles Henry Vincent started with a horse, a carriage and a barn on Plank Hill Road. Four generations later the family still runs it.
Faith and tradition
Families of many faiths come to us
Many of our traditional services are Catholic. We also serve Hindu, Buddhist and Sikh families, and we are familiar with many traditions and rituals. You are welcome to bring your own clergy or celebrant.
Catholic
The family's own priest and parish may lead the service. We work with parishes across the valley, including St. Mary's and St. Catherine of Siena in Simsbury, St. Patrick's in Collinsville and St. Anne's in Avon.
Congregational
Your own pastor and congregation may lead the service. We can hold calling hours and a service at your church, at our chapel or at the graveside.
Episcopal
Your own priest and parish may lead the service. We work with the church on the timing, the order of service and the committal.
Baptist
Your own pastor and church family may lead the service. We plan around the hymns, readings and gathering your church would like.
Hindu
Families usually hold a service in our Canton chapel with their own priest, then go downstairs to the crematory to take part in their rites. Incense and oil lamps are welcome, and families may wash and dress their loved one.
Buddhist
We have served Buddhist families, and those who wish may take part in washing and dressing their loved one by appointment.
Veterans
Honoring those who served
We always coordinate military honors, including a flag presentation and Taps. Our staff celebrant handles veterans paperwork and helps families with headstones, markers and earned burial benefits.
✓ Military honors at the service
✓ Flag presentation to the family
✓ Help with VA paperwork, headstones and markers
